Project on Safe Utilization of Contaminated Cultivated Land in Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province
With the rapid development of social economy, studies over the past few years have shown that soil heavy metal pollution is increasingly posing a threat to the safety of agricultural products, the health and safety of residents, and the sustainable development of the economy and society. Ensuring the quality and safety of agricultural products is the fundamental starting point for implementing the action plan for soil pollution prevention and control. To achieve the goal of safe utilization, efforts should be made to properly utilize slightly and moderately contaminated cultivated land, strengthen the risk management and control of farmland soil environment, maximize the utilization of limited cultivated land resources, and ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products from the source.
In 2021, Mata Eco, after passing expert evaluation, took charge of the implementation section of soil conditioners for the project on safe utilization of contaminated cultivated land in Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province. The project is located in Yongjia County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Yongjia County has 361,600 mu of cultivated land, 2.918 million mu of forest land, and 112.7 square kilometers of rivers and lakes, and is known as "eight parts mountains, one part water, and one part farmland". The implementation of this project covers 8,433 mu of cultivated land in the county, involving 60 villages in 7 towns. The overall goal is that the soil environmental quality in the county will remain stable in 2021, and the safe utilization rate of contaminated cultivated land will reach 92%. The project was completed on time, with guaranteed quality and quantity in accordance with the requirements of the employer. Marta Ecology successfully promoted the cultivated land restoration and management business to Zhejiang Province.
